Contact, mobiles are the black box in our lives.

It takes little to bring back to mind a beautiful memory, an old friendship or a person we loved. Marie, the protagonist of Lea Bancelin‘s animated short Contact, just needs a call from her mobile phone inadvertently.

Anne’s name on the small screen of her mobile phone has taken her back in time, to relive the beauty and carefreeness of that relationship, now over.

The lesson of Contact is that memories are not only used to regret a distant past, but they also spur us on to move forward, without spending too much time looking back.
