The abuses and violence experienced by children and adolescents mark people’s lives in an indelible way. Nari Jang starts from her experience to tell a universal story in the animated short film My Father’s Room. Black and white sketches are transformed into a succession of images and visual metaphors that strike the viewer in a raw and true way. What will remain are the screams, the lamentations, the noises, because in some cases the words are useless, superfluous.
Moreover, the exclusive use of white, black and grey makes the sensations and emotions that Nari Jang wants to convey even more vivid and clear.
