Who, in these months, would not need a vacation? A couple of weeks away from everything and everyone, without thinking about the problems and completely disconnected from television and the internet?
Finding a place to isolate yourself seems more and more difficult, but luckily there are real gems that make us feel immediately more relaxed simply by watching them from a screen. One of these is the Ulaman Eco Retreat designed by Inspiral studio in Bali, more precisely in the Kaba-Kaba area.
The first part of this resort was recently completed and already makes us dream.
The Ulaman Eco Retreat is located in an area completely hidden from the forest and near a river. The latter creates small waterfalls whose forces are used to create the energy needed to power the entire structure. In addition, the dense network of small streams amplifies the sense of isolation from the outside world and promotes the reunion with nature.

From a structural point of view, the architects of the Inspiral studio opted for the use of materials and techniques typical of the area, also using the help of the indigenous population.
For this reason, the bases of the buildings were made of beaten earth, while the rest of the structure was entirely made of bamboo, a material that in addition to being sustainable, can be worked and shaped almost as desired.
This possibility of processing can be seen especially in the interiors, where you can see the large bamboo canes that form the ceiling, but also elements such as stairs or windows.
The Ulaman Eco Retreat manages to blend avant-garde design with the architectural tradition of this region. In fact, a second part is planned to be built, which will add a restaurant, a spa and rooms that will look like little boats moored on the river.
