Vinilica vol.105 – Tanca

POV: it’s 2010, you’ve just had a fight with your parents, you don’t feel understood by the world and suddenly you decide to lock yourself in your room and listen to angry music that will free you from the “pains” of everyday life.
This is “WORDS OF DOGTOWN”, the debut album of Tanca available from Friday, September 24 for peermusic Italy: angry, frantic and uncomfortable, with its distorted bases and a huge rhythmic wall, is the perfect soundtrack for when you’re angry with mankind.

Managing to range from urban sounds to those more violent as hardcore and metal, Stefano Tancredi, managed to give life to a record that was not there before and that we needed. Surely all this is thanks to his past as militant in the Italian hardcore scene, aspect that has definitely given a very precise direction to the whole work.

The viscerality and the “realness” of this album are the two dominant aspects, but there are also hip-hop influences, which can easily lighten the album by placing it in a new section of the market, thanks to an excellent lyricism that makes each song definitely more fluid listening.

That’s why we felt the need to make a playlist exclusively for Collater.al, as well as to understand even better from which musical landscape Tanca comes from.

So, if you’ve had a bad day (but even if you’ve had a good one), run and listen to our Vinilica and right after “WORDS OF DOGTOWN”, so you’ll have someone screaming for you.
