With “Dea Cura” Woolrich takes care of the environment

The Woolrich Outdoor Foundation, which works to protect and safeguard the outdoor spaces of communities around the world, has recently announced a partnership involving the Worldrise Onlus and Fantastudio, resulting in “Dea Cura”, a project that aims to protect the environment and the seas and has as its centerpiece the working-class neighborhood of “Stadera,” in Milan.

Woolrich and Fantastudio – a creative hub where women’s universe and creativity come together to give birth to new and interesting projects – had already had the opportunity to collaborate on International Women’s Day, hence the desire and desire to involve the American brand’s Foundation for a new challenge under the banner of green.

“Dea Cura” in fact aims to engage and stimulate the residents of the Stadera neighborhood to practice virtuous daily behaviors, and above all to raise the community’s awareness of the value that every small gesture has: a piece of garbage thrown on the ground has a negative impact not only on our neighborhood and city but also on the seas and oceans, the true lungs of the planet.

The artists’ collective A m’l rum da me, has been working since Oct. 3 on the creation of a mural of more than 100 square meters in the Stadera neighborhood, at Via G. Savoia 2, whose theme will be the imaginary representation of the “Dea Cura”, a generous Mother Earth where water will embody the primordial element from which everything is born and will remind her children to take care of it. The work will also be made with natural photocatalytic smog-absorbing paint, Airlite.

This will be followed by the creative workshop “Draw Your World” entirely dedicated to the children of the neighborhood who, through the making of drawings will elaborate on the key values of the project, all thanks to the support of the artists and the marine biologist of Worldrise Onlus. The workshop will be held at the premises of the Milan Women’s Center association in Via G. Savoia 1.

At the conclusion of the work, on Oct. 15, the residents of the neighborhood and all the communities involved will take part in a waste cleaning and sorting activity, starting from the mural on Via G. Savoia and ending at the Naviglio Pavese, to once again draw attention to the waste that inevitably ends up in our seas from the cities.

Woolrich Outdoor Foundation, through its partnership with Worldrise Onlus and Fantastudio, is helping to promote messages of solidarity and respect for the place where we live, because “Aver Cura” for the environment cannot just mean being concerned about it but requires participation and an active role of communities.
