For the Genius 2020 project, Moncler called a group of designers to interpret the brand according to their unique vision, One House, Different Voices. Each of them gave their personal touch to the Italian company’s items expressing their creativity.
The 2 MONCLER 1952 men’s collection perfectly reflects this concept, Sergio Zambon has transformed and absorbed the energy of Los Angeles into what is a true collaboration with the city itself. A tribute to the iconic styles that depopulated the City of Angels in the 1970s and that inspired the collection: the preppy, the hippie and the punk.
Unlike many other collections, this one does not celebrate an era but is a sort of journey through the city that embraces and retraces the trends.
To better absorb the relaxed mood of the city of Los Angeles, which is also the protagonist of the editorial shot with Steve Lacy, Zambon has collaborated with some of the iconic brands of the Californian city.
Libertine brought rhinestones and the glitz that we find on shirts and vests, UNDEFEATED instead revisited the black nylon proposals in a punk key, Balt Getty, actor and founder of Monk Punk, has created intense fantasies inspired by street art while the metal jewelry used throughout the collection is AD.III.
A crossroads of ideas and inspirations, a city that has lived and continues to live an incredible cultural change, all revised and declined through the Moncler filter.
The 2 MONCLER 1952 men’s collection is now available here.
