Since its inception, the Swedish artist collective Anonymouse, whose name and tags are reminiscent of Anonymous but with the snout of a mouse, has produced more than 25 miniature works scattered across Sweden, France, and the Isle of Man.

A particular project started in 2016 with the aim of capturing attention and wringing a smile from those who walk with their heads down the streets of the cities.

The collective’s works, in fact, are nothing more than very small, rat-sized constructions that impress with their precision and details.
The last one, which appeared on a street in a city in Sweden, mimes a record shop rebuilt with discarded objects such as corks, matchboxes, shells, and stamps.

The installations, inspired by the stories of Astrid Lindgren and Beatrix Potter but also by the films of Walt Disney and Don Bluth, are nothing more than a way for the collective to give people a second curious reality and a bit of magic to children, the favorite audience of the anonymous collective with good intentions.

“We think that at some point most kids like to imagine that there is a world parallel to ours wherein small animals live quite like we do but recycle things that we have lost.”
