He studied illustration for many years, Antoine Maillard, and this time was rewarded because today the French illustrator works with clients such as the New Yorker, the New York Times and many others with great international success.

What is striking is his style and technique. In an industry that is increasingly becoming digital, Antoine continues to make his creations by hand with pencil and watercolors and only as a last step, in case there are changes to be made, he relies on technology. 

Another main peculiarity is the use of a color palette formed by the classic autumn tones, so in his works we find shades ranging from green to warm browns and oranges, but never bright and vibrant. This stylistic choice gives to his illustrations a dark and mysterious atmosphere as if something were always hidden from us.
