The new capsule collection from ASICS in collaboration with Kiko Kostadinov perfectly embodies the design philosophy and aesthetics that have defined the partnership between the two brands so far. Using innovative materials and a fresh color palette, the collection pays homage to ASICS’ historical heritage while looking towards the future of footwear. Inspired by artisanal techniques like ceramics, the two models feature matte finishes and faded tones, reminiscent of Mino ceramics, one of the most popular styles in Japan. The rusty hues of these works, which provide a dusty yet lasting appearance, deeply influenced the designers.

The Functional Utopia concept shaped the overall aesthetic of the sneakers, which are characterized by a grid pattern and bold yet muted colors. The double-layer mesh upper is enhanced with metallic details, symbolizing the contrast between science and nature. The UB7-S GT-2160™ model stands out for its sleek and elegant silhouette, echoing the style of the GT-2000™ series launched by ASICS in 2010. Fans of the collaboration will recognize key elements of the Japanese brand, such as the segmented sole and GEL™ technology for added stability and cushioning.

The UB9-S GEL-KAYANO 20 shoe, on the other hand, features ASICS’ FLUIDFIT™ technology, providing superior responsiveness and a “halo effect” thanks to its cage-like structure. The Guidance TRUSSTIC™ technology adds extra stability and comfort, making this model ideal for any occasion.
