Black Mirror has never been so close to reality

Many of us in recent months due to the pandemic and the lockdown imposed to prevent the advance of contagion thought to live an episode of the famous TV series produced by Netflix “Black Mirror”.

We saw robot dogs patrolling parks in Singapore, Apple and Google join forces to track users’ movements, drones patrolling streets, beaches and public places. Never before has reality been so surreal that it looks like an episode of Black Mirror.

Thus the Madrid-based Spanish agency “Brother Ad” launched an advertising campaign that can be found at bus stops in the Spanish capital, where it reads on a mirrored surface: “Black Mirror 6th season. Live now, everywhere”.

It’s been months since everything that happens in the world seems to be going through a long episode of Black Mirror,” comments the agency. “In Netflix, the fifth is the last season that you can watch, the sixth is happening in the real world”.

To see the sixth season on Netflix we still have to wait, Charlie Brooker – the creator of the series – said in a radio show that season 6 of the acclaimed dystopian television program is on hiatus.
Waiting for its release we just have to live it, in real life.
