The new font Brand New Roman developed by Hello Velocity transforms the internet into a large advertising billboard.

The Hello Velocity creative studio is based in New York and Boston and helps brands become relevant on social networks to reach a young and dynamic audience.

Recently its creatives have developed a new font composed of the logos of the most famous and well-known brands in the world, from Facebook to Coca-Cola. In addition to being able to create nice writing, you can download a plugin for Chrome or for Firefox that completely transforms the internet pages into commercials.

Brand New Roman best represents an aspect of our society based on consumerism. The logos chosen are so rooted in our culture and in our daily life that reading is easier than expected.

Have fun on the Hello Velocity site to create branded writings.

Home Pods for an alternative lifestyle out of line

Home Pods for an alternative lifestyle out of line

Claudia Fuggetti · 1 year ago · Design

These strange houses, called home pods, are giant spheres designed by the former Rolls Royce engineer Jag Virdie, who with his startup Conker Living, is going to propose an economic and ecological architectural alternative compared to the standard way of living. These houses are of great visual impact and seem to come out of some saga inspired by the future, but they are cheap: available at a price of $ 27,000 for 10 m2 and 3.9 meters in diameter.

The materials used are aluminum and recycled plastic, designed to last for a long time and respecting the environment: in fact, their unique spherical shape allows you to collect the water that flows on the structure, to filter it and then to reuse it. When temperatures drop, a heat recovery unit heats the home, reducing electricity consumption.

It would be interesting to imagine an entire city composed of these spheres, so essential in their functionality as to seem like small dens in which the man of the future will take refuge. I wonder if it will be even happier with fewer objects around.

So… what do you think about it?

Little Daisy Mansion is a real version of The Grand Budapest Hotel

Little Daisy Mansion is a real version of The Grand Budapest Hotel

Claudia Fuggetti · 1 year ago · Design

The dream of every Wes Anderson’s fan can finally be realized: spending holidays at The Grand Budapest Hotel is, more or less, finally possible. The Little Daisy Mansion has a facade that immediately reminds us of Wes’ famous architecture film and it is a luxurious private property located in Jerome, Arizona. Originally built in 1919 by copper tycoon James “Rawhide Jimmy” Douglas as a 40-room hotel, the Little Daisy Mansion, after a nine-year restoration, has modernized its services trying to don’t lose its vintage identity.

The building now consists of 8 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, ample entertainment space, 2,900 square feet of interior porches, a large roof garden, and ample garage space. It is not the first time that a structure is inspired by the taste of the famous director, we remember our previous article about it, that you can find here.

You can admire the Little Daisy Mansion below in our gallery or you can take a virtual tour at the Sotheby’s International Realty website.

Starbucks Reserve Roastery Milan opens in Milan

Starbucks Reserve Roastery Milan opens in Milan

Giulia Guido · 1 year ago · Design

Is inaugurating today the first Italian Starbucks in Milan, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery Milan. The American coffee company has landed in Italy, and to welcome it is the historic Palazzo Broggi, ex-palace of the Post Office, in Piazza Cordusio 3.

In a country where the culture of coffee is already well established and far from the American one, the Milanese Starbucks presents a very different offer from that of all the other branches, starting from the location.

First of all, inside it will be possible to follow the processing phases of the raw material, up to the packaging, in a truly 360 ° experience. The interiors recall those of an ancient roaster, but with contemporary inserts. The use of metal and bronze creates a strong contrast with the Palladian mosaic floors, typical of northern Italy. We also find a great use of Candoglia marble, in white/pink or gray extracted in Piedmont. It is the same marble that was used for the Duomo of Milan, a few steps from the local. But in addition to coffee, Roastery also has a bakery section run by Princi, an ice cream corner and we can stop for a cocktail or an aperitif.

Andrés Reisinger creates beautiful pastel renderings

Andrés Reisinger creates beautiful pastel renderings

Claudia Fuggetti · 1 year ago · Design

Andrés Reisinger is a multi-disciplinary graphic designer based in Barcelona who often collaborates with the Six N Five Studio and creates interior renderings or design objects distinguished by a 3D with modern and clean shapes. His works are characterized by a marked conceptual minimalism, sometimes surreal. The project is named La Forma” and presents a series of eight realistic images that visually explore the concept of tension, like the tense tails of his compositions. As he tells:

“Shape, shadow and color creates fragile compositions that are beautiful examples of obsessive compulsive disorders.”

The fragility of a string in balance and the obsession with shapes and colors juxtaposition, suggest the representation of deeper disturbances and maniacal perfectionism. The second part of his project is called “Lustre” and concerns the collaboration with  Studio Proba from New York, entirely dedicated to the carpets produced by the studio.

If you want to know more we suggest you watch the video below and the artist’s website.
