To make Serralves, one of the most important institutions in the world and one of the 100 most visited museums in the world, even more beautiful, was the work of Carlos Castanheira‘s CC&CB architects with a long raised bridge, the Canopy Walkway, from which you can admire the entire park.
Located next to the contemporary art museum designed by Alvaro Siza Vieira and the “Casa Do Cinema” still under construction, the platform allows visitors to stroll among the canopies of cork trees and redwoods adorned with bird eaters native to the region.
Here, in addition to admiring the breathtaking views, it is also possible to take part in guided tours with those who know the flora and fauna of the site to perfection.
For the bravest, moreover, it is possible to climb to the highest point of the walkway where the view of the museum, the villa, and the entire park is incomparable.
