In Mérida, the capital of Yucatan, AS Arquitectura‘s team designed the Casa Del Árbol or Tree House. It is a house in which the interior spaces and the external spaces are mixed, there are no borders. The design of the residence is based on trust, sharing, in which the smart use of different levels of height and vegetation guarantees the necessary concealment.
The house is built on what was once a plantation and the real protagonists of the project are the Pich, the typical trees of this area. The largest of the pich trees is framed by an outdoor porch, which overlooks all the rooms except the bedroom.
It is a structure that respects the place and time in which it is located, entering perfectly in harmony with the surrounding nature.
