This Monday I chose a video that pays homage to some places that, a few summers ago, stole a piece of my heart.

I’m talking about the Haute Provence area, between Gordes and Valensole, where, exactly this weekend, the Fête de la Lavande took place. Here, along with the Route de la Lavande, the yellow of the earth comes into conflict with the endless rows of lavender that change color according to the time of day and the sunlight, creating a unique and magical landscape.

The video Valensole timelapse, created and uploaded on Youtube by Samitdoc Mantadilok, shows the Provencal landscape in all its beauty, a real purple sea that stands out on the horizon.
