CCCP – Fedeli alla Linea celebrates 40 years since the release of their first EP, Ortodossia. This is one of the most stimulating musical experiences in the history of punk, narrated in the exhibition “FELICITAZIONI! CCCP – Fedeli alla Linea. 1984-2024” set up in the spaces of the Chiostri di San Pietro in Reggio Emilia. Slam Jam is also involved with a second collaboration with CCCP, envisioning a dedicated capsule collection that embodies the values of the band.

The path will be chronological and anthological, aiming to discover the released records and the behind-the-scenes stories of each publication and performance, encompassing sounds, lyrics, and attire. We are not just facing a simple narrative but rather a true dialogue between music, literature, art, and performance in all their facets. This project is curated by CCCP themselves, who have worked on it for over six months, revisiting texts, memories, and images from their past. The process is so stimulating that it makes the way they convey the essence of the band unique.

«Celebrating the 40 years of CCCP’s history means paying tribute to one of the most avant-garde musical entities, nationally recognized and capable of interpreting the spirit of the times, both for the youth and the very young, that the Reggio Emilia scene has been able to produce. CCCP provided words and music to a generation, and their experience extended beyond the group itself, germinating a fertile artistic experience in which a multitude of bands, many of them from Reggio Emilia or nurtured in our city and province, brought a new and different way of making music and culture to the Italian stage,» says the Mayor of Reggio Emilia, Luca Vecchi.

By questioning themselves, CCCP reflects on the relevance of their ideas and music in the present day. Starting from the metal silhouettes of the three Berlin VoPos to the inscription “CONGRATULATIONS!” that begins in the Chiostro Piccolo and ends in the Chiostro Grande, unfolding on the two levels with installations, works of art, previously unpublished archive photographs, along with videos and stage costumes.
