On the occasion of the Pixar Animation Studios exhibition, “The Science Behind Pixar“, the traveling event that is going around the States and Japan, BEAMS, Champion and the japanese artist Yu Nagaba have joined forces and worked on a collection of clothing dedicated to Toy Story.
The capsule is made up of six pieces, three of which are Champions’ crewneck sweatshirts with reverse weave and three BEAMS’ T-shirts.
The former remains fond of his athletic light grey with “WOODY” print, black “PIXAR” and white “BUZZ”, drawing inspiration from the 2014 Star Wars collection. The font of the writings is in college style, the colors of the names reflect the colors of the characters in the animated film. The “PIXAR” sweatshirt will only be available at the BEAMS store in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo. All three pieces will have the classic “C” logo of Champion, embroidered on the left sleeve, while on the right appear the symbols of the characters – Woody, Buzz and the iconic Pixar ball.
The other half of the collection, the t-shirts, are a partnership between BEAMS and Nagaba, which has created an illustration of Woody and Buzz in their stylized artistic style, distinguished on orange, black and white. Again, the black variant will be exclusive to the BEAMS store.
The Champion x BEAMS x Yu Nagaba x Toy Story collection is already available in pre-order with release date september 2019.
