Colvin is one of the startups that has been the most talked about in the last two years. The idea of Sergi Bastardas, Andrés Cester, and Marc Olmedillo Diaz was to create e-commerce dedicated only to flowers, promising shipments of bouquets, compositions and bouquets in 24 hours. Born in 2016, Colvin now has his own physical store in the heart of Barcelona, and to create a place that would blend in with their style, the three founders trusted Roman Izquierdo Bouldstridge and his architecture and design studio.
Colvin boutique has taken the place of a former banking office, whose appearance has been completely modernized and changed. The watchwords were minimal and clean: the false ceiling was dismantled, revealing the entire height of the store and leaving the beautiful wooden beams exposed, at sight are also the bricks of the walls that, like the floor and ceiling, were covered with a layer of bright white paint.
The color chosen serves both to better illuminate the space and to highlight the real protagonists, the flowers.
Collected in simple glass vases, the bundles skillfully composed by Colvin’s team are resting on wooden plinths that simulate tree trunks on display throughout the space. These wooden bases also serve as tables in the waiting area and as vases for the trees, which with their white columns create a forest effect.
