It may have happened to you to see in the cities of the great billboards of Apple with beautiful photos to which is accompanied by the caption “taken with + the latest model of iPhone on the market”. Some of these shots are selected during an annual contest during which the brand rewards the best photographs taken by its community of amateur photographers, able to have unlocked their phone at the right time in the right place.
In these days Apple has awarded the winners for 2022, which had as a goal chosen by Apple for this year to take macro shots. The 10 finalists of “Shot on iPhone Macro Challenge” came from China, Hungary, India, Italy, Spain, Thailand and the United States, and had only their iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max at their disposal.

The latest phones launched on the market by Apple are in fact the most advanced in terms of technique and camera possibilities, which allows you to take sharp shots up to two centimeters from the subject. Macro photography often enhances natural elements invisible to the naked eye and so the ten photos selected by the jury of photographers and Apple executives. Cobwebs with dewdrops, vermilion petals (the photo was taken by Italian Marco Colletta) and shots that seem to have been taken under a microscope, such as “Sea Glass”, the photo by Argentine Guido Cassanelli, winner of the competition.
The finalists will not receive any money, but the Cupertino brand will use the images for digital campaigns or on billboards for the Shot on iPhone campaign.
