C.P. Company and adidas Spezial have joined forces to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the quintessential Italian sportswear brand.
Both brands share a natural affinity born from the casual subculture of the 1970s, a mutual admiration and influential legacy, as well as a distinctive aesthetic.Â
Thanks to these deep relationships, the two realities have co-created a historic capsule collection consisting of two items to which the two brands have lent their aesthetic language.
The adidas Italia SPZL sneaker silhouette and a premium version of the iconic adidas Haslingden Jacket that is reimagined and recreated with the C.P. Company team.
The capsule is accompanied by an evocative campaign starring Manchester United and England national team defender Luke Shaw.
Shaw wears a reworking of the Haslingden Jacket reworked from a camouflage print and using 50-thread count, one of the brand’s most iconic fabrics. The hood has been replaced by aesthetic cues from C.P. Company’s vast archive, plus a removable lining has been included.
A perfect fusion of the typical DNA elements of both players involved.
Completing the capsule is the classic adidas Italia silhouette made of white leather and gray suede, and distinguished by the “Sailor” graphic by C.P. Company. In contrast we find the Three Stripes in green, red details and gold foil branding.

Tied to the launch of the collection was a campaign video shot by Spezial’s longtime collaborators, &SON, along with shots by photographer Kevin Cummins.
The collaboration between adidas Special and C.P. Company will launch as a limited edition on October 14 and will be available exclusively at 50.cpcompany.com, the brand’s flagship stores and END. Clothing.
