David Kirscher‘s nude photographs are a constant alternation of shadows and beams of light. Heat and shadow coexist, generating a relationship between photographic image and physical sensation, linked to the temperature of the sunlight and the freshness of the water. The subjects portrayed by the Paris-based photographer establish an intimate relationship with the camera, letting themselves go into poses that highlight the profiles of the body and delicate gestures of care.
The fingers of a girl caress the veiny arms of a man, lying on a bed between crumpled sheets that enclose a moment of tenderness that does not want to end.
Naked bodies in contact warm each other, leaving not even a thread of light to stand between them.
When there are no bodies to warm others, nature takes care of it in all its consistencies. The warmth and hardness of rocks, the elusiveness of sand, and the purifying power of water, which creates even more intimacy and connection with the subjects portrayed.
