It’s official. The production of Volevo Nascondermi, a biopic on Antonio Ligabue, will begin during the next month of May. The film will be directed by Giorgio Diritti and the painter will be performed by Elio Germano (also known for Il Giovane Favoloso, Suburra and a substantial number of other movies). Antonio Ligabue was an Italian painter who lived most of his life near the river Po’, in the Emilia Romagna region. That area inspired him artistically. In fact most of his production is about nature. Not really creatures you would encounter in Italy, Ligabue loved to portray wild animals, such as tigers and monkeys.
Volevo Nascondermi is written by Diritti with Tania Pedroni e Fredo Valla and it will be produced by Polmar (which also produced Il Giovane Favoloso).
