It’s that time of year when the days start to get longer, the sun on your skin starts to warm up and sometimes your mind is already on the beach. Days when we like to dream while looking, for example, at Lavinia Cernau‘s or Arturo Bamboo‘s photographs taken in dreamy places overlooking the Mediterranean. But sometimes we need something different, something like Elisa Flicka‘s photographs.
Born in Albania, Elisa Flicka is a young photographer specialising in portraits and self-portraits. Often in her shots, we see her surrounded by nature, a large green meadow, a body of water, flowers or immersed in the sea.
What all her photographs have in common is a prevalence of cold tones that make the atmosphere melancholic. If memories of past summers had a colour palette, they would probably have the same one as in his shots.
If you take a closer look at her Instagram profile, which is followed by more than 130,000 followers, you will also notice another characteristic of her work. Elisa Flicka often adds short captions to her photographs that are reminiscent of film subtitles and turn the images into a story that is impossible not to identify with.
