Erik Johansson, the photographer who manipulates reality

His name is Erik Johansson and when you see one of his works you can’t help but discover all the others. Erik was born as a photographer, but then he discovers the infinite possibilities of Photoshop and digital manipulation, so his works are born and we would look at them endlessly.

The Swedish artist starts from the photos taken by himself and then, with a work of the imagination only, creates worlds that take inspiration from ours, but surreal and dreamlike.

This fusion between the real and the imaginary makes it difficult to understand at first glance whether they are real objects or landscapes or not. If you don’t believe it, try it yourself, scrolling through the images in our gallery and getting caught up in their fantastic atmosphere will seem almost normal to be able to grab the moon and detach it from the sky or move the road as if it were a sheet. Watching is believing!
