The Indonesian artist Ardneks is just edgy, all his illustrations that are part of the collection, which is called Marquees Tropica, were inspired by songs reproduced in loops.

Art is not divided into watertight compartments, but it is a continuous ribbon, impossible to really split. Ardneks thought not only of using music, but also of his personal experiences, which he tried to tell with individual plates.

Marquees Tropica is a crazy journey, psychedelic, made of pop culture, tradition and vintage. Among her creations we find MOONAGE ODDITY, inspired by David Bowie’s Space Oddity, SUNFLOWERMiLK ViBRATiONS, influenced by Don’t Worry Baby from The Beach Boys and of course HYPERVENTILATION CHERRY, inspired by Beach House’s Space Song.
