Just when we thought we’d seen everything in the world of fashion and anime collaborations, here comes another one: Paris Saint-Germain has just unveiled its unexpected partnership with Evangelion, the cult classic created by Hideaki Anno that has influenced more than one generation. In short, the Parisian club and the dystopian universe of the Evas meet for the first time in a collection that finds a surprising point of connection in the word “Paris.” The French capital thus becomes the backdrop and symbol of a lifestyle that fuses sport, introspection, and the future.

The Evangelion x Paris Saint-Germain Capsule
The EVA × PSG capsule was created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Evangelion, representing a unique cultural crossover between one of Japan’s most iconic anime series and one of the world’s most renowned football clubs. The concept running through the entire collection isn’t about “showing off,” but rather about living in the moment, enjoying the now according to one’s own worldview.

The exclusive visual released for the launch — featuring Rei, Asuka, and Mari drawn in front of the Parc des Princes, PSG’s home stadium — is a statement of intent: the stadium becomes an urban space, fashion spills into the streets, and the line between imagination and reality blurs.

The collection is designed to fit into everyday life while still retaining that “special” touch. T-shirts, jerseys, windbreakers, pants, and accessories are reimagined with graphics and colors that pay tribute to the aesthetic of the Evas. Highlights include the windbreaker + jogger set inspired by Eva Units 01 and 02, as well as the “BLOODTYPE PATTERN (BLUE)” T-shirt, which references Rei’s biometric data during piloting — a detail that’s both geeky and quirky, but which definitely holds its own within the capsule.
