Uniqlo UT continues to explore the world of anime with a new series of graphic t-shirts inspired by two masterpieces of Japanese science fiction: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex by Masamune Shirow and Evangelion by Hideaki Anno. Let’s take a look at what’s in this capsule, set to drop in mid-May.

The capsule includes four models, each available in white and black, featuring iconic illustrations from the anime series. For Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, the black t-shirt is decorated with a technical drawing of a Tachikoma, the famous spider-like mecha from Section 9, along with the series title. The white version, on the other hand, showcases a minimalist portrait of Motoko Kusanagi in light green, accompanied by one of her most famous quotes: “If you’re dissatisfied with the world, change yourself.”

The t-shirts dedicated to Evangelion feature detailed designs and direct references to the series’ universe. The white model displays the title of the 2012 film Evangelion: 3.0 YOU CAN (NOT) REDO on the front, while the back is adorned with red graphics featuring the iconic EVA Unit-02. The black version captures attention with a colorful print of the three main EVA units, complemented by white text that highlights their design.
