Color, lightness, and a contagious desire to see beauty: Eynon Jones’ illustrations are a true ode to positivity. Born and raised in Higham’s Park, just a stone’s throw from Walthamstow, Jones turned a pause in life — the lockdown — into the creative spark that led him to become one of last year’s most beloved illustrators.

His style? Simple, direct, filled with bright summer colors and a touch of imperfection that makes each illustration deeply human. “Positivity isn’t just a theme, it’s a guide,” he shared in an interview with Image In Frames. And it’s precisely this simple yet powerful force that carried him from selling his first prints door to door to collaborating with major names like Coca-Cola, Häagen-Dazs, Christie’s, and Adobe.

Walthamstow, with its vibrant community, remains at the heart of his imagination. It’s no coincidence that the title of his first solo exhibition, Epic in Awesomestow, is a direct tribute to the connections born on sidewalks and in small neighborhood venues.

Despite his success, Jones stays true to his philosophy: creating to feel good, without giving in to the pressure of external expectations. And perhaps it’s this very authenticity that makes his work so immediate, so capable of sparking a smile even on the grayest days.
Armed with a pencil and a palette of vibrant colors, Eynon Jones continues to prove that simplicity, when sincere, can reach anywhere.
