Florania Designs Udinese’s Third Kit

For the 2024/25 season, Udinese‘s third kit was created in collaboration with the Camera Moda Fashion Trust. This partnership is unique, built on a shared value between football and fashion: scouting young talent. This year, the third jersey was designed by Florania—a brand we’ve discussed before.

Genderless and sustainable, Flora Rabitti’s brand may seem quite distant from the world of football. However, once the final result was unveiled—combining creativity, experimentation, and innovation—the outcome is a third kit with an intriguing color combination. The dominant color is light wisteria, paired with a sublimated graphic pattern. The design aims to reproduce irregular white flame-like patterns, referencing the Sun’s rays, a key symbol for the city of Udine. The collar is a mandarin style, with black and white trim, which also appears on the sleeve edges.

«It was an honor to represent the shared values of Florania, Udinese Calcio, Macron, and the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana in a project-connection that recalls strong symbolism: inspired by Udine’s Sun in Piazza della Libertà,» says Flora Rabitti. «The graphics of the team’s third kit represent universal symbols of warmth and strength, solar rays. It’s a collective and sustainable energy, ecological innovation, and a sense of community.»

Solar energy is also a key element in the modernization efforts at Udinese’s Bluenergy Stadium. Over 2,400 state-of-the-art solar panels will contribute to partial energy self-sufficiency, making it one of the most advanced stadiums in Europe in terms of clean energy production—a mission that will also be reflected in the third kit.

The jersey’s design is completed with sponsor logos, Florania’s signature ‘F,’ and on the back collar, the phrase WE PLAY FOR THE PLANET—a clear message confirming Udinese’s commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment.
