We are now used to seeing posters only when there is a product or event to advertise. There are few instances where posters are created purely for creative expression, and one of those is PosterLad.
Born in Prague, Vratislav Pecka is an artist who came to the world of graphic design after briefly dabbling in cinema and studying video editing. While working as a graphic designer for various studios, he started creating posters in his free time purely for the sake of it, without any promotional intent.
Gradually, his followers on Instagram began to grow, and more and more people started asking if they could buy his posters. That’s how his online shop was born. Today, Vratislav Pecka has over 450,000 people following his work every day—people who, like him, probably love beautiful posters and want to hang something aesthetically pleasing on their walls.
The inspiration for his work comes from all sorts of things, from the work of other colleagues, from artistic movements like Bauhaus, from architecture, colors, and shapes. In each poster, Vratislav Pecka shows his ability to play with style and constantly reinvent himself. To discover all his designs, visit the PosterLad website and Instagram profile.
