The city is a place that must be imagined and interpreted. Its hidden spaces and desaturated geometries, between roughness and charm, are theatre and source of inspiration.
After Samuel Heron and Alessandro Remomo, the third and last part of our new project for the Flyroam of Timberland, together with the French photographer Alex Penfornis, has as protagonist Luca Barcelona, lettering artist and a reference name in the world of modern calligraphy. His art is a combination between the study of classical styles and the experience spent in the world of graffiti writing.
“The city is a canvas to paint on.”
Writing becomes a way to regain possession of human rhythms and gestures within the frenetic rhythms of everyday life. Art breaks down urban rules, takes over the city, changes the perception of the space we lived in, triggers a surprise, a mental short circuit, a turnaround of horizon.
Any hesitation to interact with an idea or an emotional brake. Once again, versatility, lightness and strength from FLYROAM’ characteristics also become a creative cue.
Be Fast, Be Light, Be Light, Be Free.
