Fragile, the new work of Asbestos in Dublin

Asbestos, the prolific Dublin-based street artist, has recently completed and released his latest work, Fragile.

Located in the Grand Canal Dock area, the street artist, who in the last two years has focused his work on exploring the concept of “identity and personas”, wanted to represent the emotional condition in which a large part of the global population finds themselves due to the events that have marked our lives in recent months.

The mural reproduces a male face covered by the classic red ribbon used to pack fragile objects, which, in this case, he used to cover the face leaving only the eyes uncovered.
According to the artist, these are the only element that sincerely shows what we feel and his are lucid, sad, and scared.

I am fragile. And I can feel how fragile we all are right now. Be aware of each other’s fragility, support each other. Together Fragile, Together Unbreakable.

So he commented on Instagram his artwork, reminding everyone that staying together is a good way to feel a little less defeated.
