In an editorial published by Dazed titled “Impractical Magic”which he also styled the Lagos-based African-born photographer Daniel Obasi reimagined the collection, consisting of a series of brightly colored bags, through images that are both whimsical and simple that encapsulate what are Obasi’s main aesthetic and conceptual stylistic features.

Daniel Obasi’s works bring to life a certain idealism toward Afrocentric concepts: eccentric, delicate, and sharply contrasted with sharp silhouettes, colors, and stories. Obasi has always been attracted to Afro cinema and futurism, as well as being deeply interested in raising awareness of African narratives.
