What the Fourth Kit of Genoa CFC in Collaboration with Kappa Tells Us

Genoa CFC and Kappa have once again joined forces to create the 2024/25 Fourth Kit—more than just a technical garment, it’s a cultural tribute. The design takes inspiration from the iconic colors of Boca Juniors, the Argentine club founded in 1905 by Genoese immigrants. This connection, spanning oceans and generations, is now reflected in a jersey with deep symbolic value.

The navy blue shirt, featuring a central stripe and yellow details, celebrates Boca Juniors’ 120th anniversary on April 3rd and aligns with the centenary of Ma se ghe penso, the emblematic song of Ligurian emigration. The chest proudly displays the Griffin, the emblem of Genoa CFC, while on the back, just below the collar, the word ZENEIXI appears—the Genoese version of Xeneizes, Boca’s famous nickname. The polo-style collar, a signature Kappa touch, adds an element of elegance to the jersey.

For the launch, Kappa and Genoa opted for a visually compelling campaign blending aesthetics and storytelling. The photos were shot by Sam Alexander Gregg, while the video was directed by Gibbo and Lori, with production by No Panic, the club’s creative partner. The campaign’s soundtrack features a reinterpretation of Moliendo Café by the Ligurian group Free Shots.

From a technical perspective, the Fourth Kit is crafted using Kappa’s Kombat Pro technology, ensuring top performance. The interlock fabric with Hidro-Way Protection provides breathability and comfort, while the heat-embossed graphics on the panels add a refined touch. The ribbed collar and sleeve hems enhance elasticity and durability, ensuring a perfect fit.

The kit is available at the Genoa Store on Via XX Settembre 114r, on the club’s official e-commerce site, in select Robe di Kappa stores, and on kappa.com.
