After a season that saw many new creative directors debut at major fashion houses — but very few women among them — the appointment of Grace Wales Bonner as the new menswear director at Hermès truly feels like a breath of fresh air.

And while this historic step has been celebrated just about everywhere, the London-based designer also signs a new chapter with Wales Bonner x adidas Originals Fall 2025, a collection that reaffirms her central role in the dialogue between sport, culture, and contemporary luxury.
The new campaign, shot by Chris Rhodes and featuring Gene Gallagher, Alva Claire, Shim Mheuka, and Bebe Parnell, reinterprets adidas sportswear classics: striped football jerseys, tracksuits, intarsia vests, and quilted outerwear in shades of red, lavender, and navy, balanced by cream and gray neutrals.
Among the standout pieces are a gray wool set and a new take on the padded down jacket, accompanied by roomy leather and fabric bags that complete a relaxed yet sophisticated silhouette.

The sneakers — the true meeting ground between Grace’s world and adidas’s — include the Karintha Lo (also in black and blue knit-detailed versions), the Japan in lavender, and a Superstar with a crocodile effect. It’s a collection that confirms Wales Bonner’s ability to elevate sportswear into a refined aesthetic without ever losing sight of its cultural roots.

While we await her official debut at Hermès in 2027, Wales Bonner x adidas Fall 2025 feels like a celebration of the coherent and sophisticated vision of a designer who continues to redefine the rules of luxury — with the same elegance that turned a simple football shoe into a global icon.
