Gregory Tauziac, born in 1996, is a young photographer from the Ivory Coast, now living in Paris, who captures life’s most precious moments with his shots.
“To photograph, to escape, to forget about everything else and to concentrate on that precise moment, a person, a place or even a simple point of light. Whether through photography or video I try to discover the world and transcribe mine. It is a new emotion that is born at each trigger, the beginning of a new story that is written but above all the trace of a moment that will remain.”
This is how he describes his relationship with photography, a source of experiments, a means of storytelling and a tool for stopping time.
Gregory Tauziac works mainly on beauty and fashion photography, but he also works on some personal projects that tell different stories and dig deeper into his own history. Thus 1162 Miles, Maree Blanche, Zone IV and Neon no longer focus on people and their faces, but concentrate on telling the story of journeys, experiences, thoughts, values and memories.
In contrast to his more personal projects, his editorial and commercial projects manage to delve into the interiority of the models and the people behind each photograph.
His soft shots are sensual and lonely, intimate and sensitive, looking closely at the other person and enhancing their unseen beauty.
