“Gucci and The North Face confirm that they will be bringing a collaboration to life in the coming months that celebrates the rich heritage of both brands“.
This statement was released last night to WWD by the Italian maison after the publication of three teaser videos – the first two last night and the last one in the morning today – on their Instagram and TikTok profiles, which announce this new and unexpected collaboration.
Outdoor/mountaineering aesthetics is now a canon of contemporary fashion and Gucci is ready to deal with this aspect that has never been considered before, a new chapter that Alessandro Michele adds to his story.
The brand founded in 1966 in San Francisco and based in Denver is not new to collaborations with the fashion world, in fact in the last ten years The North Face has established relationships and worked with brands such as Supreme, sacai, Junya Watanabe and MM6 Maison Margiela.
In February TNF presented its first fashion collection, “Black Series”, at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. The collection was created by in-house creatives from both the high fashion and outdoor worlds, led by Tim Hamilton, Head of Global Creative at The North Face.
Unfortunately we don’t know any more details about the project but we will keep you updated as soon as they are revealed.
