Navigating through all the events, exhibitions, installations, and appointments of Milan Design Week is becoming increasingly difficult. Each year, the schedule gets more packed, and you’d need an entire week just to go through it all.
This year, for Milan Design Week 2025, we’ve decided to do the work for you and offer not just one, but five thematic guides—because there are countless reasons to dive into the city’s creative chaos. This way, everyone is covered: those eager to see the must-visit installations, those coming to explore the latest in design brands, fashion lovers chasing pop-ups and design-driven installations by top labels, and even those who just want to wander through historic buildings that are usually closed to the public. Oh, and we haven’t forgotten about those who start with all the best intentions but end up just looking for the perfect spot to sit and unwind.
DESIGN LOVERS
There are really many events. In the Tortona area, OPIFICIO 31 will be the central venue for the Tortona Rocks events, including À.RIA. A medium for connection by Archiproducts Milano and Studiopepe, which will host more than 50 objects that have made the history of international design, as well as the installation by Italdesign, present with the show car Quintessenza, and, lastly, All’Origine, which with its products will take us back to the early 1900s. Still in the Tortona area, the Superdesign Show will also be present.
Moving to the city center, Palazzo Litta is confirmed as a landmark with MoscaPartners Variations, and Masterly, The Dutch in Milan, also returns.
The Porta Venezia Design District is bustling with exhibitions, from 6:AM Glasswork, which exhibits in the old changing rooms of the Piscina Cozzi, to Alchemica by Elle Decor, curated by Patricia Urquiola.
Isola Design, on the other hand, presents a collection of projects that interact directly with people in Conscious Objects. Not to be missed are also CONVEY, Capsule Plaza, and, of course, Alcova, which this year doubles its presence, occupying four exceptional locations in Varedo.
DON’T MISS
The names you should definitely note down are IKEA in Via Vigevano, GOOGLE in the spaces of Garage 21, but also the installations by Muji, those by Philippe Starck and Marco Balich at the Brera Botanical Garden, and the square reconstructed by IQOS X SELETTI.
Two symbolic places of the city also come to life: on one side, Santa Maria delle Grazie, whose cloisters will host the luminous installation by Luca Trazzi; on the other, an unmissable event at the Castello Sforzesco, where the artwork Mother by Bob Wilson will engage in a dialogue with Michelangelo’s Pietà Rondanini.
PALAZZI
Milan Design Week 2025 does not make us dream only for the new collections presented but also for some locations that open their doors for the occasion. There are many palazzos hiding dreamy arcades and beautiful gardens, as well as halls and rooms impossible to imagine from the outside, just by looking at their facades or doorways. Palazzo Litta, Palazzo del Senato, Palazzo Castiglioni, and Palazzo Landriani are just a few of them—check our map to discover all the others and plan the best itinerary to visit as many as possible!
MODA & DESIGN
As we said, even fashion brands do not miss the opportunity to strengthen their connection with the city. This year, Prada Frames returns in collaboration with Formafantasma, Gucci will be present with an installation in the Brera area, while Miu Miu arrives with a true Literary Club.

If, during your endless walks, you feel the need to press the pause button, sit somewhere, and enjoy a moment of relaxation, no problem. Between kiosks, newsstands, and urban oases, this year’s Milan Design Week has truly thought of everything. You can start with the Bar Altra Vista project in the 5VIE area, then stop at the Bioderma or Eccentrico kiosks, relax properly at the Scuola Raffles or inside the Unconventional Atelier The Shoe Library by A di GAETA, enjoy a sip of water at the GROHE AQUA GALLERY, and end the day at Edicola La Marzocco x House of Negroni in Corso Garibaldi.
