The young photographer and director RaMell Ross signs his first experimental documentary: Hale County This Morning, This Evening. This movie analyzes the lives and the environment around Daniel and Quincy, two Afro-American men who live in Hale County in rural Alabama’ s heart. The director tries a new approach: images are woven together to replace the narrative arc with visual movements. The result is powerful but also offers a delicate view of the Afro-American society in the Southern states. The film will be released in American cinemas on the 14th of September.
