Holding Contagion, the Pandeaura project

Pandeaura, Amber Lee Svendsen’s stage name, is a young photographer and graphic designer who through her latest project tells, in her own way, the situation we are living, the lockdown and the latent fear we are learning to live with.

Entitled Holding Contagion, Pandeaura’s series of digital illustrations has as its protagonist an object that better than others has become a symbol of this period, the gloves. From monochrome backgrounds, they appear almost by the magic of hands wearing gloves engaged in daily actions, but they end up losing their importance or their magic.

Hugging each other, shaking hands, high-fives or hand polish have lost their meaning, their strength. Each board in Holding Contagion tries to tell a different story about this pandemic and the resulting lifestyle change.

Simple but striking, Pandeaura’s digital illustrations need no explanation.
