Third appointment with The Wander Playlist, our personal photo guide to tell you some of the most interesting places to visit in Italy, through an approach oriented towards contemporary outdoor culture.
Also this time we start with our short music playlist to accompany you in our photographic journey.
For the third stage of our travel section, we chose the Lake Iseo southern shore to visit the Torbiere del Sebino, a little known but fascinating place in the heart of Franciacorta, one of richest natural reserves in the region.
No high wall or top to climb this time. But a long way to take photos with our Lumix between reeds and bodies of water surrounded by cultivated fields, vineyards and olive groves.
The two routes, the south of 4 km and the north of 5 km, leave respectively from the Monastery S. Pietro in Lamosa and from the Visitor Center, and lead between small bridges over the water to large tanks interspersed by thin earth’s banks. One part is in direct contact with the Iseo Lake and is called ‘lametta’.
Following the signs, it is possible to go through cultivated fields, and tracts of wood from which you can see the bodies of water, between semi-subsurface trunks and colored water lilies.
Along the way small and large groups of bird watching enthusiasts climb with huge camera lenses on turrets and wooden pontoon. The silence is mandatory, the atmosphere becomes surreal. The Natural Reserve of Torbiere del Sebino is, in fact, a natural park characterized by a unique and delicate ecosystem.
We get around the canals as blasphemous tourists, taking with our camera lenses an enchanted place that lovers around us respect in a monastic way. Along the long walk we almost do not talk, and to do it we almost whisper, to not disturb anyone.
After our tour, we take a ride around Iseo Lake. Along the coast you can find tree-lined beaches and small corners of uncontaminated nature such as l’Orrido del Bögn.
In the distance, Monte Isola accompanies us, like the green top of a mountain emerging from the waters.
