A few hours ago, the poster for the upcoming Comicon, which will take place from May 1 to May 4, 2025, in Naples, was unveiled. The artist behind it is Jamie Hewlett, a British illustrator and creative known for his versatility and his ability to move fluidly between design, art, and music.

Hewlett’s career began in the late 1980s with the cult comic Tank Girl, but he achieved global fame as the co-creator of Gorillaz, the virtual band that went on to win BRIT and Grammy Awards. His knack for capturing the spirit of the times and translating it into a unique visual aesthetic has made him one of the most influential artists of his generation.

With a constantly evolving style, Hewlett draws inspiration from global cultural influences — from hip hop to opera, from zombie movies to westerns — all with an energetic approach and a punk spirit. Recognized for his creative impact, he was awarded the Jim Henson Creativity Honour in 2005 and named Designer of the Year by the Design Museum in London in 2006.
