Jordan Brand is rewriting the rules of the game with The One: the international one-on-one tournament that shines a spotlight on young basketball talent from around the world. More than just a competition, The One is a cultural manifesto—an arena where the hunger to win meets the authentic identity of street basketball.

The first event of 2025 will take place in London on May 24, during the Hoopsfix All Star Classic weekend. From there, the race to the August final winds through global basketball capitals: from Beijing to Los Angeles, from Manila to Paris, with stops in Tokyo, Belgrade, Chicago, and 10 more cities. The goal? To find the 20 athletes—boys and girls aged 15 to 18—who will fly to New York to compete for the win.

The format is simple but effective: one-on-one, no filters. A setup that goes straight back to the roots of the Jumpman, when a young Michael Jordan would challenge his brother Larry in North Carolina. It was there, through losses and comebacks, that a legend was born.
«The One is much more than a tournament,» says Sarah Mensah, president of Jordan Brand. «It’s a platform to showcase raw talent, determination, and the drive to make a mark. It represents the competitive spirit and excellence that define our brand».

The New York final will be broadcast live around the world and will culminate in an international DJ battle, true to Jordan’s style: a mix of sport, music, and urban culture, celebrating the authentic spirit of basketball in the city where it all began.
