Jorge Penadés is a Madrid-based designer who has reworked extruded aluminum parts of old lamps and shelves to create a series of multi-coloured vases for the furniture of the brandBD Barcelona Design.

The limited edition collection is called Piscis and is composed of six fluted vases with geometric structures and visible joints. As the artist explains:

“The shapes came from the exercise of rearranging the different parts together”.

Each shape is the result of a complex process: the artist used a laser cutting machine, dividing the aluminium profiles longitudinally and reconfiguring them with a thin double-sided adhesive tape, before fixing them with glue. His Structural Skin table is made of shredded leather and natural bone glue that has been molded together.

Piscis by Jorge Penadés will be present at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, which will be held from 9 to 14 April 2019.
