JW Anderson has launched a new line of sunglasses inspired by the brand’s iconic pieces. This launch results in four unisex models closely tied to the eponymous house of the Irish designer Jonathan Anderson, the renowned designer famous not only for his role as Creative Director at Loewe but also for his distinctive and often humorous style that frequently goes viral. Recently, it was the turn of the tomato bag, but in the past, there were also frog-shaped slides and a clutch that could easily be mistaken for a pigeon, worn by Carrie in And Just Like That. But let’s get back to the eyewear collection.

The JW Anderson Eyewear Collection
Paracolpi, Rettangolo, Geometrico, and Twister are the names of the four unisex models in JW Anderson’s eyewear collection. The first is inspired by the design of the Bumper Bag, borrowing the bag’s dimensions and vibrant colors. The second features sturdy edges contrasted by a matte finish, while the silver tips remain visible, and the asymmetric temples resemble the ring and hook of JW Anderson’s Anchor logo. Geometrico, in a combination of acetate and metallic details, also revisits the brand’s logo theme, while Twister takes inspiration from the Twister Bag. In this case, the acetate is custom-molded to mimic the twist of the handle of the famous bag, with the temples delicately twisted to create a flat movement across the bridge that widens into a large winged frame. Perfect for summer looks.

The collection’s launch images were shot by Joe Cruz, and JW Anderson Eyewear is available online at  jwanderson.com and in stores in London and Milan.
