Kampseedorf, when football becomes art

Kampseedorf is a collective of four Dutch boys all from Amsterdam with an immoderate passion for football. Clearly they are all huge fans of Ajax, the team in their city and to which they dedicate most of their work.
They manage to merge football and street art as if it were natural, goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and strikers are the protagonists of their works.

Their great skill and passion led them to found a real label, now they are well known in the underground scene. For some years now it is possible to find their works not only in Amsterdam but also all over Europe, a few months ago they invaded the streets of Milan with their collages dedicated to the now-former Milan striker, “Piatek the Gunfighter“.

Kampseedorf is undoubtedly a collective of old romantics, in love with the old football and especially with the old flags, which we now find hard to find in football, to which they devote most of their work. From the oldest and best known as Maradona, Matthaus, and Eusebio, to the most recent: Batistuta, Bergkamp, Kluivert or the local meteor Tadic.
Without forgetting the icon of the group of artists, from whom they also take their name, Clarence Seedorf, portrayed with many of the shirts dressed in career shirts, from Ajax to Real Madrid.

They use a simple and common technique to glue their work in the streets, first draw the players on paper and then glue them in the middle of the night with two layers of glue, so that the drawings are not detached or stolen.
Each player is reproduced in an original and perfect way, even the outfits and shoes worn are faithful to those they actually wore.
The ball blends with art, a guerrilla action to fight the grey of concrete with the colors of football, in underground style.
