We are not discovering the charm of the middle-aged man now, but there is no doubt that lately the most important fashion houses and brands in the world are focusing on the mature man for their campaigns and not only.
We need only go back to a few weeks ago and the FW22 Menswear show by Prada, where we saw actors of the caliber of Kyle MacLachlan and Jeff Goldblum on the catwalk, mature men and there is no doubt about that. As we said, this is not a recent wave, 10 years ago Prada had already paraded Willem Dafoe and Gary Oldman, for example, a choice that was very much appreciated.
Yesterday Ronnie Fieg, Kith, ‘s brand, Kith, presented its Spring 2022 collection with a series of wonderful shots starring the actor – obviously New Yorker like Ronnie Fieg – 64-year-old Steve Buscemi that make up the brand’s new campaign.
A small masterpiece of communication and choice of protagonist – already with Adrien Brody and John Turturro the bar had been set rather high – but for all how it was conceived, thanks to the creative direction of the shooting of Jim Moore, Creative Director of GQ.
Looking at the first campaign images, I can’t help but admit that Kith and Steve Buscemi look like they were made for each other.
