Maria Paton has succeeded in bringing the art of collage to an almost unattainable level. Her work has nothing to do with the classic collages we are used to.

Maria studied graphic design in Spain, where she was born, then moved to London where, in addition to forming a band, she developed her art.

The Spanish graphic designer is deeply in love with the process of building her works. That cutting and gluing pieces of magazines, newspapers, and photos that has something childish, primordial.

Over time her technique has refined and today Maria completes her work thanks to technology. Once the composition has been created, she scans it and adds color digitally. Her style is undoubtedly influenced by artists such as Hannah Hoch, Louise Bourgeois, Ana de Mendienta, Mona Hatoum and Shana Moulton, but what inspires her work is what surrounds her, reality and everyday life.
