Beosound Edge is driving the web world crazy, presenting itself to the public as a sort of black hole in furnished rooms. The enigma has finally unveiled: this is the new minimal wireless audio speaker made by Bang & Olufsen. The Danish brand has focused on designer Michael Anastassiades who has created an object designed to be placed on the floor or mounted on the wall, but that could also be an elegant minimal centerpiece. Approaching the mysterious object reveals microscopic holes created with the laser, to make it easier to touch. Michael states that:

“It looks quite surreal as an object, because of the sudden depth change. A gap between the two materials would have allowed a tolerance to exist. Here, there is no tolerance, and the in-between space does not exist anymore which is amazing”.

Bang & Olufsen presents a product of design and quality that is based on revolutionary acoustic technologies, called active bass ports. The brand’s concept manager adds that:

“With Beosound Edge, we are bringing forward a timeless design masterpiece that inspires the imagination with an interaction and experience never before seen in home audio from a distance it is monolithic and discreet, hiding everything that suggests technology, yet it is unforgettable in sound performance punching above and beyond what you would expect for the size of the speaker”.
