Taking a photograph and giving it back in a form that radically changes the way it is seen. That is what The Skateroom has always done, and these two new editions dedicated to the photography of Martin Parr are a precise demonstration of that. Both pieces are part of the last collections released in collaboration with the Martin Parr Foundation. Not simple reproductions, but collectible objects that transform two of his most recognisable images into something physical, tangible, unexpected.

The Ocean Dome, Miyazaki, Japan, 1996 is perhaps the most precise distillation of Parr’s obsession with constructed leisure. Photographed in Japan, the image shows an artificial beach beneath a vast dome: controlled waves, simulated climate, synthetic sunlight. A paradise manufactured for mass tourism, at once futuristic and strangely familiar. Presented as a triptych across three decks, the composition opens horizontally and the immersive atmosphere of the scene finds a new scale.

More intimate but equally iconic, In Benidorm (Goggles) distils the entire Parr method into a single frame. Sun-burnt skin, reflective swim goggles, the blue of the Mediterranean. Every detail is amplified to the point of feeling almost cinematic, yet unmistakably real. Translated onto skateboard, the image becomes even more graphic and the object takes on a life of its own.

Both editions are printed on premium 7-ply maple wood, numbered and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, with a holographic authentication sticker bearing the photographer’s portrait and signature.
