Mike McKenney is famous on Instagram the_real_theory for his graphic design works that are borderline, colorful and crazy. These graphics evoke the typical mescaline hallucinations described by Aldous Huxley in his “The doors of perception”, the scenario is divided between red blood deserts, rainbows and of course cactus so that it seems almost to witness a delusional and psychedelic trip.

The characters dematerialize, losing themselves in the general chaos and crossing a new space-time dimension; the whole, however, results harmonic, coherent and manages to tell with originality the unpublished stories of the subconscious. Mike is interested in representing a sensation and the experience that one has of it, without defining its boundaries, indeed, push himself beyond.

Look at the gallery and listen to a song by The Doors or 13th Floor Elevators.
